Food Safety
The safety and quality of the shipment a customer receives can be significantly impacted by the things you do during transportation. Keep the following in mind while delivering:
Avoid Food Contamination
- When picking up, always check to make sure each package is sealed properly. Report any open or damaged packages to the onsite staff.
- Keep your vehicle clean and well maintained.
Personal Hygiene
- If you are feeling sick or have an open wound that could compromise food safety, stay home.
- Avoid sneezing, coughing, spitting, or smoking while transporting food.
- Make sure to wash your hands with soap and water as often as possible. Using hand sanitizer before, during, and after each delivery is highly recommended.
Time & Temperature Controls
- Some packages may contain dry ice to keep items frozen during delivery. For more information about this go to http://gojitsu.com/dry-ice-notice.
- Some packages may be in Cold Chain so if you are unable to deliver packages the day you pickup, please contact support for assistance.
Safe Driving
Driving safely helps you avoid accidents and minimizes risks on the road. Here are some best practices to stay safe while driving:
Collision Avoidance & Defensive Driving Techniques
