Alcohol Delivery Guidelines

We are pleased to announce that Jitsu is expanding its services to include attended deliveries for alcohol. As we continue to grow our business, we are excited to offer this new service to our customers.

Delivering Alcohol Guidelines

Routes with Alcohol Deliveries

If there are routes containing packages for alcohol delivery, you will see a tag on the route prior to selection. If you do not wish to perform these type of deliveries, you are free to select a non-alcohol route that you are interested in upon check-in. If you select the route and then choose to decline, inform the staff so we can are able to get you a different available route.

On the Road with Alcohol

Jitsu is authorized to transport alcoholic beverages, subject to rules and regulations of the state. In the event you are pulled over by local authorities when you are on the road delivering, please show them our operating permit

Alcohol Delivery

When you're making deliveries that include alcohol, it's important to be aware of these guidelines below. They are in place to make sure you comply with the law and have a successful delivery. Please follow the step-by-step instructions in the Drive app.

Key Points to Remember:

  • When delivering the package, you must wait for the recipient to receive the package. You will be able to contact customer via phone or text. Dispatch will also be available to assist if you encounter any issues at the delivery stop.
  • You must ask the recipient for ID to scan to verify the recipient is of legal drinking age (21+), and visually confirm that the recipient matches the ID, and that they are not intoxicated.
  • The package must be handed directly to the recipient or someone of age. If no one is available to receive the package, it must be returned back to the warehouse. Alcohol packages cannot be left unattended.
  • Proof of delivery pictures cannot include the recipient. Only take pictures of the packages in front of the house/unit number without the recipient.

Providing alcohol to individuals who are underage or intoxicated, or leaving alcohol unattended, can result in removal from the Jitsu platform, fines, and potentially more severe consequences including, civil & criminal liability.
